About SoldOut Watch
SoldOut Watch monitors official Alcatraz ticket inventory every 10 minutes and emails you the instant cancellations reopen spots on your dates. Free to watch — you pay a one-time $19 only when we find your spot.
Why we built it
Alcatraz is one of the most visited attractions in America, and its most popular tours sell out days or weeks ahead. But here's what most people don't know: visitors cancel and reschedule constantly, and every cancelled spot drops straight back onto the official booking calendar. There's no waitlist — it's first-come, first-served.
The problem is you can't stare at a calendar all day. So we built a monitor that does it for you — checking per-departure seat counts around the clock and alerting you within minutes when your dates reopen.
What we're not
We're not a ticket reseller. We're not affiliated with Alcatraz City Cruises, Hornblower, or the National Park Service. We don't sell tickets, hold inventory, or mark anything up. You always book directly with the authorized operator at face value — we just make sure you know the moment a spot exists.
How we make money
One way: a $19 charge when — and only when — our monitor finds a spot on your dates and sends you an alert. No subscription, no tiers, no hidden fees. If we never find you a spot, you pay $0. That keeps our incentives aligned with yours: we only earn when we deliver.
What's next
We're starting with Alcatraz because it's where the problem is sharpest. But the same dynamics — capped inventory, constant cancellations, no waitlist — exist at attractions across the country. We're expanding to the ones people ask for most. Tell us what to watch next →
